A highlight of remote learning

Adapting to the virtual setting during COVID-19 is challenging, but allows for opportunities to be creative.
This picture came from a Summer 2020 graduate class in which the students explored Indigenous science concepts. In this activity, students were exploring different types of rock and sediment and created their own clay bowls.

course highlight

In 4102 Themes in Senior Years: Indigenous Cultural Learning in the Senior Years, students get to experience a variety of beadwork styles and techniques. In-class coursework also saw students working with natural plants to create mats and baskets. While remote learning during the virtual setting allowed students to explore mini moccasins and gauntlet mitts.
